Scarring after surgery
Scarring after surgery or surgical incision is very common, especially when using a surgical procedure with a scalpel. The reason why you are undergoing surgery is variable, some are made to save lives others because of aesthetic reasons, but in almost all of the cases scarring occurs. The appearance of the scar / scars depends, among other things, on the surgeon’s skill as well as your anatomical healing. The color of the scars depends mainly on your natural skin tone and changes from white to dark brown in nuance. Scars can, in principle, form everywhere on the body. Shamá method® scar treatment – Step by step
Scars after surgery can be corrected with Shamá method® to the extent that it is removed. We can help you no matter what type of scars, such as large keloid scars or sinuous atrophic scars. First of all, the whole scar area requires a consistent and fine texture, no matter what scar type one has. If you have a keloid formation or hypertrophic scars (major hard scars), it is extremely important to treat it in several rounds to avoid atrophy. To improve your scars, it takes several steps:
Phase 1 In the first phase, we start by treating the hypertrophic or keloid formation (if any). In each treatment, the hardened scars tissue are penetrated with medicinal preparations and antioxidants to gently soften and smooth out the irregularity. A sterile disposable needle penetrates just under half a millimeter into the skin. The preparations drop into the outer layer of skin and act on the scars the days after treatment. It is important to take care of the scars / scars according to the instructions given. Care for a scam treatment is one of the most important factors in succeeding in getting good results.
Phase 2 In the second phase, the equalization of the surface texture and pigment is the accumulation or loss being treated. Although the scar is even and fine, a certain shiny surface may need to be treated. Hur många ärrbehandlingar behöver göras och tid mellan dessa?
Ofta krävs det minst 4 behandlingar för ett tillfredställande resultat. För att inte skada överhuden (epidermis) upprepas behandlingen med 8-30 dagars mellanrum
beroende på ärrets egenskaper. Varje individ och varje ärr har olika förutsättningar. För en närmare bedömning krävs ett personligt besök där man grundligt undersöker ärret eller ärren. Även då kan man inte helt och hållet ge en exakt utlåtande. Efter första behandlingen har man lärt känna ärret
och din huds egenskaper och kan göra en närmare bedömning. Därför upprepas behandlingen ett flertal gånger då man inte använder allt för starka preparat. Ett snitt på antal behandlingar är ca 4-6 omgångar.
Vad kan man förvänta sig efter en slutförd ärrborttagnings behandling?
Vi på Shamá Clinic har utfört 1000-tals dokumenterade ärrbehandlingar på olika hud typer med olika operationsresultat, det är med säkerhet och på goda grunder vi kan säga att vår metod tar bort ärr alternativt korrigerar med 50-90%. Naturligtvis är varje fall på en individuell nivå och endast efter konsultation kan en ordentlig bedömning ges. Det är viktigt att förstå att det färdiga resultatet utgår ifrån dem förutsättningar man hade ifrån början. Ett ärr är en skadad hud och en total synlig reparation kan inte göras alla gånger. Dock kan det bli betydligt bättre. Många klienter har varit nöjda efter en påtaglig förbättring.
Gör det ont när man behandlar operations ärr?
Vissa upplever ett kittlande eller aning stickande känsla, dock är detta ingen smärtsam behandling. Det brukar räcka med en bedövningssalva vilket sitter i ca 45 minuter. Ifall man är väldigt känslig finns det starkare bedövning vid behov.
Uppstå biverkningar eller kan skadan bli värre efter en ärrkorrigerings behandling?
Efter 30 års dokumenterat arbete kan vi med säkerhet säga att Shamá Method® inte har några komplikationer eller risker. I och med att man behandlar ärret i flera moment och omgångar skapar man det bästa resultatet vilket försäkrar att det inte uppstår biverkningar eller slitningar på den redan skadade ärrvävnaden. Många tror felaktigt att eftersom ett ärr är tjockt och hårt så är huden också tåligare. Tvärtom är den ärrade huden ömtåligare än den normala huden i och med detta behandlar man i flera omgångar med varsamhet och omsorg. Beroende på vilken typ av ärr det handlar om kombineras också kompletterande ingrepp för bästa resultat. T.ex. vid keloid ärr eller insjunkningar så kombineras radiofrekvensbehandling som ytterligare mjukar upp ärret vilket också förbättrar slutresultatet.
Vad händer när jag utsätter det behandlade området för sol?
Det går bra att sola två dagar efter behandlingen. Dock rekommenderas inte överdriven solning då detta kan påverka behandlingens resultat.
